Our History
1965
Panos Manias, the founder of ALUMAN S.A., founds Aluminoplastiki S.A., a company specializing in the manufacturing of aluminium collapsible tubes, aerosol monobloc cans and bottles.
1975
The founder decides to vertically integrate his operations through the acquisition of Roal S.A., a company situated at Inofyta, Viotia.
1980
The company wins the National Export Award from the Athens Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
1986
ALUMAN S.A. in its present form is created, through the merger of Aluminoplastiki and Roal.
1997
We win the National Export Award from the Athens Chamber of Commerce & Industry, for the second time.
1997
1997 ALUMAN is certified according to ISO 9001 (Quality Management System).
2006
ALUMAN is certified according to ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System).
2009
ALUMAN is certified according to OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System (now ISO 45001).
2010
We close down our aluminium collapsible tube, aluminium aerosol can and aluminium monobloc bottle production and make the strategic decision to entirely concentrate on the production of aluminium slugs and discs.
2013
ALUMAR, a joint venture of ALUMAN and a Russian partner, starts production of aluminium slugs in Nevinnomisk, Russia. In 2018, ALUMAN terminates its participation in the a/m company.
2018
ALUMAN is certified according to ISO 50001 (Energy Management System).
2019
ALUMAN starts using PCR material for the production of aluminium slugs and discs.
2019
A second melting and casting production facility is installed.
2021
We were awarded the coveted Intertek Achievement Award for Workplace Conditions. The evaluation of our facility covered the areas of labor, wages and hours, health and safety, management system and environment.
